A KYC check at withdrawal is the moment a no KYC casino becomes an ordinary casino. A request goes to review, a message asks for documents, and the money waits. Most guides describe this in general terms. We went through it ourselves at TrustDice in May 2026, and the details are below.

Our TrustDice round, step by step
- Before the trigger. Withdrawals went through without documents, each arriving in 10 to 15 minutes.
- The trigger. When the cumulative total of withdrawals reached about $5,000, the next request showed "payment under review".
- The request. Identity verification through Veriff.
- First document: driving licence. Rejected, with no explanation.
- Second document: passport. Accepted on the fifth attempt.
- The balance. About $900 that was in the account when the check started stayed locked and never came out.

What we learned
- The threshold is not where it gets hard. Reaching the line was routine; getting through the check was the difficult part.
- Cumulative, not per withdrawal. Small withdrawals did not keep us under it.
- Money left inside is exposed. Every withdrawal taken out before the trigger was safe; the balance inside was not.
Deadlines and rules by casino

How to get through a check
- Do not resubmit the withdrawal or open a second account.
- Send a passport first if you have one.
- Photograph documents in daylight, flat, all four corners visible, no glare.
- Use the same name and date of birth you gave at sign-up.
- Answer within the deadline, and keep every message.
- Ask support for the exact reason if a document is rejected.

How to avoid needing one
Withdraw as you go, stay below the casino's published line, and keep one account on one device with one wallet. The lines are on KYC thresholds; the casinos ranked by them are on the no KYC casino home page.
Questions and answers
What does 'payment under review' mean?
The casino has paused the withdrawal for a manual check, often a request for identity documents. In our TrustDice test it was the first sign that verification had started.
How long do I have to send documents?
Vave gives 14 days (8.7), Rocketpot 30 calendar days (11.4). Others do not state a deadline in what we read.
What if my document is rejected?
Try a different document of better quality; a passport is accepted more often than a driving licence. Keep screenshots of each attempt and of support replies.
